Clinical Findings:

 

ALIZIN ® has a 97 to 100% early stage efficiency, and a 95 to 97% late stage efficiency.

 The effect is achieved on average 3 to 4 days after treatment, and may take up to seven days.

ALIZIN ® generally does not induce any complications, or significant side effects in the female.

The only clinical change observed has been a moderate to serous discharge, and may also be accompanied by light vaginal congestion and mild engorgement.

In the late stage,
the presence of a brownish discharge may develop after day 32, has been reported. This discharge is a subsequent liquefaction of fetal tissue.

Uterine involution occurs spontaneously after the expulsion, and may be accompanied by slight engorgement.
 
There may be pain and swelling at the injection site.
 
The presence of ovarian or uterine polycystic ulcers may prevent termination of pregnancy through the use of this product.

Expulsion of products, late in the therapeutic treatments can be accompanied by  slight anorexia and engorgement, if this condition materializes, hospitalization of the pet is suggested.

After treatment estrus intervals may be reduced.
